Labour leaders increasing hardship on people

As a person who voted, canvassed and supported the Irish Labour Party, I’m writing to say how sad and bewildered Iam on how and why Mr Eamon Gilmore, Pat Rabbitte and the leaders of that party are now telling us to vote yes in the Treaty being held on May 31, which will increase our burdens and hardships many times over.

How can those present leaders of the party that Larkin and Connolly founded be so aloof from the present sufferings and difficulties the poor of Ireland are going through?

I can see why both Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael want a yes vote as they are the parties of big business, but I fail to see why Labour — a party that once was socialist and of the left — joins those that sold us out and down the river by the IMF.
