Labour leaders increasing hardship on people
How can those present leaders of the party that Larkin and Connolly founded be so aloof from the present sufferings and difficulties the poor of Ireland are going through?
I can see why both Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael want a yes vote as they are the parties of big business, but I fail to see why Labour — a party that once was socialist and of the left — joins those that sold us out and down the river by the IMF.
The party can’t play both sides of the fence as the poor and weakest in society face the hard hour, and the fat cat white collar criminals are not in jail, while all the time, Labour remains silent on these double standards.
True socialists in France and Greece are against the austerity treaty which the Irish Labour Party are determined to tie us to hand and foot, which brings me to ask Mr Rabbitte and Mr Gilmore to admit that they are no longer true socialists, not a left wing party at all.
Comrades Gilmore and Rabbitte are taking the Labour Party into years of hardship and want, as Stalin did.
