Raising of pension age unfair to workers

I see the latest news includes the fact that the Government plans to increase the pension age to 68 by 2028.

This, of course, should come as no surprise to any citizen who has been awake for the past few years, and more, in Ireland.

This nation is oppressed by a feudal dictatorial political system, where those at the top are so far removed from the lives of the ordinary Irish citizen — the common peasant — that to call this State a democracy is an insult to the people of Ireland.

This decision would be acceptable, though unpalatable, if — and only if — they themselves felt the same cruel hand of fate on their shoulders, but I doubt if they will be amending their stranglehold on the easy pension pickings from public funds after a few years of ‘dis-service’ to the Irish citizens.

As is usual for politicians, their arrogance far exceeds their intelligence, their power and authority far exceeds their ability, and their greed and stupidity far exceeds the citizens’ frustration and growing antagonism, but as long as the citizens of this nation accept their servitude in a passive manner, this gross injustice will continue, and the citizens should not complain — for they are accepting it.

On the other hand, if you want to begin the process of bringing democracy to Ireland, then please educate yourself to the true nature regarding our present political system, and how it remains the undemocratic feudal political system borne out of the contempt held by the politicians towards the citizens of this nation, and sustained by the usurping of the democratic authority of the citizens of this nation — that is, if you are unhappy with the present political system.

Understanding the faults of our present political system is the prerequisite first step before correcting or banishing them — before finally installing a true form of democracy in Ireland.
