Keeping Garda stations

So, Mr Shatter wants fewer Garda stations. When I got mugged outside our local bank three years ago, some terrific passers-by chased and got hold of the armed robber.

They then had to wait over an hour for the 999 gardaí to turn up.

The local garda came down in his tracksuit, off-duty, to assist. And now you want to remove him as well, Mr Shatter-our-dreams? The advantage of having not fewer, but more, Garda stations would be to make innocent citizens feel safer. These local gardaí could also help Mr Shatter search for all the open prisoners wandering around the countryside.
