Painful losses

Let me see if I can understand the Mahon Tribunal.

If gang leaders/drug dealers forfeit their ill-gotten gains to the State, what happens to politicians/developers, et al, and their ill-gotten gains?

Here in Massachusetts the former Speaker of the House started serving a seven-year federal prison sentence last November and his government pension is lost for receiving a “kickback” of $65,000.
