‘Heartening’ resistance to levy

As we face into the last two weeks before the deadline for payment of the household charge, it is inevitable that there will be an intensified advertising campaign on behalf of the Government to both encourage and intimidate people to register and pay.

‘Heartening’ resistance to levy

It is heartening for groups like ourselves around the country who are campaigning against this unjust charge that the take-up is still less than 10%. It is extra heartening to see that only 1% of households in Limerick city and county have paid.
