Trapped in cycle of blame, boom, bust and bluster

It would appear that once again the Irish people are indulging in the national pasttime of unbridled victimhood.

Trapped in cycle of blame, boom, bust and bluster

I refer to the recent events at the RDS where the political corpse that is Fianna Fáil indulged in some nostalgia while thousands of workers queued next door to try and get a job abroad. The airwaves and opinion columns are now full of “horror stories” of ordinary decent workers being forced to go abroad for work.

As an emigrant who left the country in 2003 I sympathise with anyone who is forced abroad through lack of opportunities, but I cannot endure the media whinge-fest that accompanies this.
