Our humiliating national day

March 31 should come to be known as “Thick Paddies Day”; as this is the annual date on which we willingly hand over €3bn to foreign casino banks.

Normal “Paddies Day”, two weeks earlier, sees us dress up in green costumes and get patronised by the Americans and others.

Thick Paddies Day, on the other hand, sees us mugged, humiliated and laughed at by the spivs that managed to carry out the greatest injustice ever perpetrated against Irish people.
