Ó Snodaigh printing - Excess or enthusiasm?

Sinn Féin’s über-disciplined, permanently on-message leadership will be more than annoyed that Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh’s extravagance has been uncovered.

The Dublin South Central TD may not have to worry that his peers might send for his own supporters, replete with balaclavas and baseball bats as they once were, to discipline him but make no doubt about it he has committed, in Sinn Féin terms at least, a real mortaller — he has thrown Fianna Fáil a lifeline of sorts.

On the eve of “the most important ard fheis in the party’s history” Fianna Fáil will be more than delighted that the Sinn Féin deputy’s more than voracious appetite for computer printer cartridges courtesy of the Oireachtas stationery office — €50,000 worth in two years — became public knowledge at such an opportune moment.
