Poor TV service
I installed a Saorview-approved set top box in order to receive the new HD digital TV service. However, the audio visual is out of sync, ie when a person is seen to speak on TV, there is a time lag for the voice to be heard. However, there is no call centre that I could phone to help solve the problem. Does the problem arise from my local broadcast transmitter?
Minister Rabbitte wants to explore the idea of bringing in a new broadcasting licence. It looks like he will have to address the lack of customer services regarding the roll-out of the new digital services before he can pursue the introduction of the new licence.
