Bond-holder cheques would end hospital trolley waits

LAST Wednesday (Jan 25), our health service decision-makers announced a new target.

They aim to have 95% of patients on trolleys in A&E departments for no longer than six hours.

My worst fear is to be trolleyed for the fourth time. I say to the policy spinners, “Give me death or give me dignity.” The plain people of Ireland have slowly bottled their anger. Now we demand action, not talk.
