Dropping a bomb

Only a year ago, Leo Varadkar promised that neither bondholders nor banks would get “one more red cent”.

He’s now telling us that non-payment of unjustified money to private, risk-taking bondholders would be akin to a “bomb going off in Dublin”.

Would the consequences be as incendiary if bond holders did not pay our household charges?
