Let family have chance to get their son back

I JUST read your article about the brain-injured boy and the High Court decision to not allow this child a chance with stem cell treatment.

I have a boy that was brain injured at the age of five.

Thank God nobody stopped us from giving him a chance to recover. The doctors told us there was no chance at a meaningful recovery. He was completely neurologically devastated. We decided to bring him for stem cells three years after his injury. The thought was we had nothing to lose, but we could gain. Within two months my son spontaneously began to speak. The list of significant improvements is quite long. I will in no way tell you my son has had a 100% recovery, however, he is getting there. Why not give this poor child and family a chance at getting their son back. My heart breaks at this decision. Had someone refused my son stem cell treatments, he would not be able to say ”Mommy, I love you” each night before bed, nor would I get his loving goodnight kiss.
