Betrayed by our government

THE way our economy is being managed through savage unfair cuts in provision, with more to come, leaves a strong sense that the country experiences not government by the people for the people, but government by the government for the government.

Members of the government have securely cushioned themselves against all budgetary decisions whilst those on benefits are demonised in order to justify the unjustifiable.

When it comes to the distribution of the country’s finances, politicians and their wealthy cronies pocket what they can, whilst the poor remain empty-handed. There seems to be no let-up in the pattern of greed and shameless inequality that is exhibited in current cuts where the greedy take precedence over the needy.
