Still waiting for some cleverness to shine through

I BELIEVE that it was Francois de la Rochefoucauld who once said that it is great cleverness to know when to conceal one’s cleverness.

I would like to say that our present government is doing an excellent job of concealing it. I did rather hope that they would let something shine through at Christmas, though.

Come on lads. Do something clever just to show that Francois de la Rochefoucauld and I are right. Please.

After the previous 10 years, we don’t have anybody else left to vote for.
