Hair is only fair thing

Referring to the article on the household charge I agree with Mr Higgins, TD, and also with Mr Hogan, Minister and TD, that it is an unfair charge.

While there may well be a good reason for the household tax, pardon me, charge, it must be levied according to means, i.e. income of the household, not the homeowner.

There are many renting privately who are a lot worse off than the majority of those in local authority housing.
