Port needs real future

DON’T be fooled into thinking that this “new” proposal from the Port of Cork is any less invasive or less polluting than the original plan.

The new plans may be engineered to look small, and able to melt into the landscape, but between now and when it is built, somehow it will have stretched to fit the old plan. Noise, air and sea pollution will be the future for the harbour.

There is a greater employment future in tourism and associated industries for the harbour area than in this one venture.
