No Christmas for many families this year

I FEEL compelled to take pen to paper in sheer disgust and overwhelming belief at the Governments’ (past and present) plunder of this wonderful country.

During the great famine there were many atrocities inflicted on the people of Ireland — evictions from their homes, families with no food, children without proper clothing, poor healthcare, schooling and forced emigration.

For thousands of families this year there most certainly will be no Christmas, history certainly repeats.
