ON TUESDAY, November 2, Kerry Against the Household Charge was launched at the Grand Hotel, Tralee.

Although the United Left Alliance (ULA) initiated the forum, the majority of the over 20 people who were in attendance had no history of political activism. Remarkable when you consider there were no speakers at the forum.

The event was organised as an informal brain storming session with chairs arranged in a circle and Marcus Howlett of Kerry ULA facilitating the gathering. At the end of the forum, a committee was set up and Marcus was elected secretary. The next morning Marcus was interviewed on Radio Kerry about the campaign.
