Pain of private tenants

THE trauma suffered by Priory Hall residents serves to highlight the hidden plight suffered by lone private tenants.

The latter can be evicted because of repairs which should have been effected before their tenancy started. Private tenants then cannot prove that the repairs were ever carried out within three months after being thrown out of their home.
