Mitchell stands apart from rest of candidates
Gay Mitchell is the only candidate who seems to be speaking his mind and speaking for the vast majority of Irish people when he tries to expose Martin McGuinness’s lies.
I cannot understand why the other candidates are purposely silent on the issue.
Michael D Higgins seems to abhor the fact that Sean Gallagher is a Fianna Fáiler but has no opinion on Martin McGuinness’s membership of the IRA.
Seán Gallagher said that his membership of Fianna Fáil was to further his policy ideas, yet he later stated that the Fianna Fáil National Executive had no influence over policy so he took no responsibility for Fianna Fáil’s policies.
The debate was a watershed moment in this election that exposed all the candidates, except Gay Mitchell, as hypocrites in the extreme.
