Turning in their graves

IT’S funny how Senator David Norris, with a proven record of fighting for the human rights of others, was blocked at every turn from being a Presidential candidate, yet many independent TDs were falling over themselves to sign the nomination papers for the likes of Martin McGuinness.

I’m sure Jean McConville and Garda Jerry McCabe, both murdered by Mr McGuinness’s IRA friends — perhaps we must suspect even with his knowledge and approval — are turning in their graves.

It would be funny were it not so utterly grotesque.
