I WRITE in reference to the recent event where two male students were ejected from the Old Oak pub in Cork for kissing.

The reaction of the pub management in rapidly backtracking for fear of alienating their gay clientele and bringing down the opprobrium of the powerful homosexual “rights” lobby was disappointing but not surprising.

In the Ireland of 2011, it is nearly akin to murder to dare criticise bad behaviour. There is still a sizeable number of people in Ireland today who think homosexual behaviour between two men or two women is wrong and sinful.
