Bush and Blair should face war crime court

IT’S reported that the American authorities are now seeking the extradition of Abdelbaset al-Megrahi the alleged Lockerbie Bomber, claiming he was not properly punished or he only served 10 years in custody. John Bolton, the former US Ambassador to the United States, said Megrahi should have received the death penalty.

However, for decades the Cuban and Venezuelan authorities have been seeking the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles the mastermind behind the bombing of a Cuban airliner 30 years ago which killed the Cuban basketball team and others on board.

He was formerly a CIA Agent and with others tried to kill left wing leaders, such as Fidel Castro.

Posada was only held briefly for breaking immigration law in the US. He is now 83 years of age and lives in Florida with his wife. Former President George Bush is on record as stating that anyone that harbours a terrorist is a terrorist.

It’s absurd the hypocrisy and double standards. It’s Blair and Bush who should, by right, be facing the International Criminal Court in the Hague.
