Punishing the rioters

WE are now told that various groups and individuals are calling on the British authorities to be “fair and reasonable” with those charged in connection with the outbreaks of violence.

Were those who engaged in the violence “fair and reasonable” to those who died as the result of the violence? Or those who lost property or homes?

The purpose of the law is to protect the population. Let the law now be seen to take its course and punish those law breakers.
