Magee should respond to damning Cloyne report

BISHOP Magee retains the title Bishop of Cloyne even though the governance of the diocese passed to the apostolic administrator from March 2009.

Two weeks have elapsed since the Cloyne report was published and Bishop Magee has made no comment about, or acknowledgement of, the findings which have shocked and angered the nation. This investigation covered 13 of the 22 years Bishop Magee governed this diocese.

He presumably continues to be remunerated from the voluntary donations of the people of a diocese with which he continues to maintain a formal association and residence.
