Failing to listen

IN downgrading Ireland’s debt to junk status, Moody’s cites, “... the continued weakness in the Irish economy”.

In response, Minister for Enterprise Richard Bruton claims that the downgrade “doesn’t reflect a failure on the part of Government ... or any downgrade in the Irish economy”.

I’m minded of another quote, “There’s none so deaf as those who will not hear.”
