Our real opposition is here to stay

FOR the first time in the history of the State a credible and sizeable opposition has been elected to Dáil Eireann and don’t we know it?

Feeble attempts have been made to ridicule this opposition, including attacks on their dress code, and their past political involvements.

These elected TDs went to the people, warts and all, dressed as they normally would, and did not go out of their way to lie and deceive the voters.

There now is a real threat to the old guard and it will grow and grow,not only in Ireland but across Europe.

This generation is waking up from that long sleep and many old age pensioners like myself are with them.

The vulnerable will hit back at the drip drip policies of the pinstripe crooks and some politicians who brought us to our knees.

What does it matter if Mick Wallace wears a pink shirt or a blueshirt?

Perhaps Mr Flanagan could buy a pinstripe suit if he didn’t give half his wages to good causes?

Does it really matter if Gerry Adams turns up wearing tights and a Ray-Healy flat cap or Mr Boyd-Barret came to work in Batman’s cape?

Credible and real opposition is here to stay.
