PO closure blatant disregard for rural people

ANOTHER rural post office is under threat, and it’s ours in Bansha, Co Tipperary, the cradle parish of Muintir na Tire.

PO closure blatant disregard for rural people

This is planned because our ‘lords and masters’ in An Post have a golden opportunity — the associated shop and business us up for sale. This is one of 400 rural post offices at risk, representing a total population in excess of over half a million people. And they plan to close them all gradually.

There seems to be a callous disrespect and disregard for rural communities and particularly for the elderly and the vulnerable that reside there.
