THE contradictory reports and Jesuitical reports attributed to the agencies involved in the liver transplant transport failure confirm the incompetence in our emergency planning when a serious event inconveniently happens outside “office” hours Monday to Friday.

Minister Reilly should order a final report from HIQA in 24 hours and have all those who took and made phone calls (including the patient’s family) before the relevant Dáil Committee this week with supervisors and managers. The competence of each agency must be examined and persons identified.
