They actually form a cluster, but this would not have been uncovered except for the work of a specific team established by the National Suicide Research Foundation (NSRF).

The Suicide Support and Information System (SSIS) was a pioneering project established to contact the families through the coroners. Interviewers found that the young people involved were largely connected with their peers and less connected with their families.
