Alcohol is the most abused drug in Ireland
Through different groups I follow online and other articles I have read, I have learned that in fact there has never been a death recorded whose cause was cannabis.
In fact, you would have to smoke approx 300 joints a day to die and at that, you would die of carbon monoxide poisoning and not actually from the drug itself.
I believe in fact, as do many others the world over, that alcohol is the single most abused drug in this and many other countries.
A lot of people, professional and otherwise, believe that it is because alcohol is not viewed by the majority of people in the country as a drug in the first place that alcoholism and binge drinking is such a problem in our society.
There is tons more information on this subject out there, so I find it hard to believe that you would publish such a reckless statement on the front page of your newspaper.
