Driving us deeper into recession

I WORK with a lot of retailers like tiles shops, furniture shops and restaurants, etc and these businesses are the best barometer of the economy and consumer confidence.

A lot of these businesses are on their knees and have been there for the last three years. They ask me “when will we see a turnaround?” and while I try to be positive, it’s very difficult to see when this will happen.

These retailers keep saying to me that all people need is a bit of confidence that they will not be hit anymore and they will start spending.
