Clear sailing at AGM

ON behalf of the Cobh Branch of the World Ship Society which held the 64th AGM of the Society last weekend, I would like to thank everybody who helped make it such a special weekend. Delegates came from Britain, Germany and even as far flung as Tasmania.

Captain Patrick Farnan’s, harbour master of the Port of Cork, gave an enjoyable and informative talk on the history and development of the port.

We would also like to thank the president of the World Ship Society, Prof Andrew Lambert, who helped us mark the occasion of the Society’s first AGM in Ireland.
