Lay off Jedward, they deserve our support

I’M writing this letter as I feel the negative press written about Jedward in the run-up to the Eurovision is totally unfair.
Lay off Jedward, they deserve our support

Ireland should be supporting them, and not reading the negative things people have to say about John and Edward.

I’m not going to Dusseldorf for the Eurovision and this is my way of showing support for John and Edward.

I think it is time to hear good things about John and Edward, instead of the negative comments from those like Johnny Logan who, unlike John and Edward, I only know from the McDonald’s advertisements.

Every day, John and Edward make thousands of people throughout Ireland smile.

They shouldn’t have to put up with the hate from the public when all they are doing is what they love and what makes people happy.

Not only is it untrue what the papers write about the twins being an embarrassment and rubbish, it is mean.

Take a step into their shoes for once and you might see what is written about them is wrong.

Many people don’t realise how nice and kind John and Edward are, and doing it for their granddad Kevin only proves how serious they are about it.

They would do anything for their fans and that deserves some recognition.

In times that are constantly changing, John and Edward are exactly what the Eurovision is all about. Johnny Logan and other anti-Jedheads are living in the past.

I’m not asking you to be a Jedward fan, but to support them and, as the 2011 Eurovision motto goes, “feel their hearts beat!’’

Jedward fans never get to speak out and I thought it was time to hear from one.

John and Edward bring smiles to so many people and I think it’s time we heard about that.
