My Presidential vote for Quinn

ONE can understand the death sentence concocted by the previous administration in pulling down Seán Quinn, the self-made millionaire who was one of the very few successful international businessmen of whom this country could be rightly proud.
My Presidential vote for Quinn

What now beggars belief is that it is this new administration led by Enda Kenny and Michael Noonan who are prepared to carry it out.

How dare Noonan ridicule Seán Quinn’s efforts and attempt to save his businesses. I would suggest to Mr Noonan that the Irish taxpayer has a far greater chance of recouping the €2.5 billion it is now owed by supporting the Quinn proposal, than by allowing Anglo Irish Bank and Liberty Mutual to take it over. Quinn’s payback period may be over 10 or more years, but he has always proven to be a man of his word and the shame on this Government is they lack the courage and integrity to give this man his due, and the opportunity to put matters right.
