What does AIB know that we don’t?

WHY is it every Irish government, no matter who it comprises, bends so easily to the will of AIB without that bank ever having to change its corrupt corporate culture.

The same culture that led it to write off the debts of Mr Haughey and Dr FitzGerald, while other people are dragged through the courts and lose their homes, which led to the failed investment in ICI, which the Irish taxpayer paid for - thanks to the generosity of Dr FitzGerald, which led to the losses of John Rusnak, the DIRT Enquiry and numerous overcharging scandals, the cost of which were all passed on by AIB to account holders.

Why is it that the senior levels of management in AIB, and the other banks who have all failed so spectacularly at their jobs, are allowed to remain in place and keep their salaries, pensions and bonuses, but front line branch and office staff are faced with redundancy to pay for the mistakes of others.

What is it AIB knows about the Irish establishment that we don’t.
