End Rossport debacle

THE recent controversy in Mayo shows the need for the five-year long farce in Rossport to be brought to an end.

The people at the site are a bizarre coalition of left-wing activists, professional protesters, and (incredibly) a number of public servants on leave of absence.

Only a tiny minority of these people are from Co Mayo. Many of them have committed acts of violence against gardaí, trespassed on private land and destroyed private property, and yet somehow it is the Garda Siochána which is now being put on trial.
