Lessons were learned

JIM ROCHE observes, in the context of the attack on Libya by the West, (March 22): “On the eighth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq the lessons of two disastrous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have not been learned.”

Alas, the fact is that lessons were learned.

Attacking those ill-equipped to defend themselves, but who are unfortunate enough to be sitting on huge oil reserves, has obviously proved to be very lucrative indeed for the “West”.

You hardly think that the mayhem would have been unleashed otherwise, do you?
