Don’t leave Cork in the lurch yet again

THE article by your correspondent Eoin English prompts me to say congratulations to Lockdown Model Agency in Cork who won the prize of the Peoples’ Choice Award for the country’s most influential model agency.

The part of the piece that caught my eye especially was that they were told five years ago, when they set up, that they had “no chance” unless they set up in Dublin. Well done.

However, it brought to mind the fact that the quay wall which caused so much destruction and suffering when it was breached by the River Lee over a year ago is still not repaired.
