Overpaid Irish nurses fail to do their jobs
And Irish nurses in general get overpaid and donât do the work, they take âtraining daysâ off at the taxpayersâ expense, eg cannula insertion, ECGs, first dose medications. The standard line is âIâm not covered to do thatâ when in fact they are. They also leave a lot of the manual work to healthcare assistants and porters and use the ânot coveredâ line quite frequently here too.
Look at any other EU healthcare system and you will find nurses do this stuff and arenât as lazy and overpaid as their Irish equivalents.
