Let the voter decide

IN a recent letter, voters in Cork South Central were condemned by the writer for retaining their vote for Fianna Fáil.

Let the voter decide

The letter (Feb 21) was called “shame on them” and it was quite insensitive. Voters in Cork South Central, like voters anywhere else in the country have the right to vote for whoever they wish.

The recession affected everyone but a change of face may not be the solution as the writer seems to think. Each member of the electorate and the 27% in Cork South Central who are expected to vote for Fianna Fáil have equal rights and an equal say in the country’s welfare. If voters could erase the past and listen to each of the parties in this campaign, Fianna Fáil would be in Government following the election.
