No to FF/FG coalition

STEVEN KING’S advocacy of a coalition of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael is a dangerous proposition (Feb 9).

No to FF/FG coalition

The most basic arguments in this election are not, as Steven King says, “essentially left-right ones”.

The most basic requirement in this election is to remove from power the people who have presided over the bankrupting of the country. The coalition proposed by Mr King, involving the members of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, would not alone prolong the period in which the members of the present government would continue in the most powerful positions in government, but could result in a form of permanent dictatorship.
