Fianna Fáil breakfast

THANK you for the publicity given to our forthcoming fundraising breakfast to be held in the Clarion Hotel on February 18.

I wish to point out that this has nothing whatever to do with our annual Fianna Fáil Presidents Cork Dinner which you correctly state we have held annually in Cork since the days of Jack Lynch. This dinner will be held as usual later on this year and I don’t know where you got the idea that the breakfast was to replace this annual event. This breakfast is simply a fundraising event as we have an expensive election to fight, and any funds raised will be exclusively used for this election fund.

The other parties are of course fund raising also — I actually got an invitation myself to attend a FG “lunch with Enda Kenny“, also in Cork, also I think €100 — unfortunately I will have to pass on that one.
