Some legacy indeed

I READ with interest that Ned O’Keeffe is quitting after 28 years. Is this the same Ned O’Keeffe who, as a public servant, would not help out the people of Rathcormac because he maintained that they did not vote for him?
Some legacy indeed

Is this the same Ned O’Keeffe who wanted Tesco to pull out of Ireland because they weren’t paying the farmers enough for their produce? Now that he’s retiring from politics, he’s pushing his son forward to take the seat that he is vacating. Isn’t this what got the country into the mess that it finds itself in today? We had the two Brians and the three Marys who got their Dáil seats that way, and look at the state of the country today. The children who are going to bail out this country haven’t even been born yet. That’s some inheritance to give them.
