Election must-do list

I WOULD like to air my views on the changes I believe should be implemented in the forthcoming general election.

Election must-do list

For starters, half the seats in the Dáil should be removed and given to some nursing home where they would be put to better use. I feel we would get on just as well with half the number of TDs.

I would also like to see more wheelchair candidates being nominated for the Dáil, giving a voice to the over forty thousand disabled people in the country. Chauffeur driver cars must be a thing of the past. We cannot afford these perks anymore. It is the law that any semi state employee must retire at the age of 65 regardless of the position they hold. The same should apply to Dáil members. Why do we have such a male-dominated Dáil? I would request that instead of littering the country with election posters each candidate post a copy of their CV, including a photo to each voter in their respective areas to outline their achievements in the Dáil and outline any other business interests they may be involved in.
