Generous tax clawback for Shell a ‘folly’

AS reported in the Irish Examiner, senior Shell executives believe there could be ‘20 Corrib gas fields’ in Irish coastal waters.

This is according to the latest Wikileaks concerning Ireland.

This proves the folly of allowing Shell to claim back any tax paid to offset drilling costs.

At the moment only Sinn Féin, the Socialist Party, and the Workers Party have promised to reintroduce royalties and do away with over generous tax claw backs.
