Incontrovertible

An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen TD, stated on December 7, 2010, that he was proud of the Government’s achievements.

Former Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, said on December 30, 2010: “I am proud of what I have achieved in politics”.

Given the disastrous state of the country as a result of the performances of these two individuals, the only appropriate response is to borrow a quote from Dag Hammarskjöld’s book, Markings. “The madman shouted in the marketplace. No one stopped to answer him. Thus it was confirmed that his thesis was incontrovertible”.
