Taking the lead

NOEL BAKER gives a very comprehensive account of the press release of the Samaritans (Dec 16).

He highlights the remarks by Suzanne Costello of the Samaritans that “a real need for support groups and agencies to be more cohesive in their response and more cost effective in how they work”. It is heartening to know that the Samaritans themselves are giving a lead in this area by going into a partnership with the Childline agency.
