WHY is the corporate rate tax untouchable?

International corporations have no sense of national responsibility and do not actually much care about employment in our Republic.

Such faceless executives move their operations when and where it suits them. Cries of “do not touch it” from the likes of senior ministers, USA Ireland Chamber of Commerce and other well-heeled self interest groups, ring hollow.

When the concerns of carers and other essential sections of our society are treated as second class citizens, these foreign corporate elite are still being entertained at our expense.

Let us demonstrate to our European partners that we mean business and desire a more caring and equal society by increasing the corporate tax rate to EU normality.
