Leaks do not justify call for murder
It is rare to hear an in-depth interview on our national broadcast station re: Wikileaks and the extraordinary travails of its founder. The fact that this individual has been threatened with death by a member of the Democratic party in the House of Representatives on Fox News and by an adviser to the Canadian Prime Minister seems to demonstrate that the American legislature in its desire to avoid criticism is willing to contemplate any form of counter action. The internet is an open system and this must jar with those who favour “closed control”.
However, inconvenient some of the Wikileaks information may be, and however awkward for US diplomacy, they cannot by any stretch of the imagination justify a call to murder.
